16th Street Apartments Remodel:

The apartments in this multi-unit building in San Francisco suffered significant smoke damage due to a fire in the neighboring apartment building.  The owners used the opportunity to update the building and to reconfigure the rooms to create more useable bedrooms for each unit.  The original apartments each had one non-compliant bedroom.  We provided designs that required minimal remodeling to create a three bedroom unit (center), and a two bedroom unit with a large living room (below).  We also opened up the long, dark hallway to the adjacent rooms both to add visual space to the rooms and to make a shorter hallway.
