Steiner Street Apartments Remodel:

This existing apartment was dark and awkwardly arranged.  Fortunately, the ceiling height of twelve feet allowed us to remove the large, but inefficient walk-in closet and replace it with a bed loft with a storage crawlspace below.  Moving the bed to a dedicated space opens up this studio and allows it to live more like a one bedroom apartment.  We also reversed the kitchen and bathroom locations.  This move accomplishes two important goals; it opens up the kitchen to the living room and makes it more accessible, and it also removes the bathroom further from the living room to give more privacy.  Now that the kitchen is open to the living room, the view can be borrowed to make the living room seem larger than it is.
